Aquaforno Ltd ( www.aquaforno.com) has been awarded Best Camping Equipment by The Outdoor Industries Association (www.outdoorindustriesassociation.co.uk/ ) for the Piccoloforno, little sister to the Aquaforno.
The Piccoloforno is a pizza oven, smoker, water boiler, grill and heater. The distinctive telescopic system allows ease of transport and stowage, solves the problem of having to take multiple pieces of equipment and can satisfy the most discerning of outdoor lovers’ food tastes. One fuel source can simultaneously provide warmth, dry clothes, cook and boil water, all whilst using carbon neutral fuels.
Co-founders and inventor, Tim Rhodes & Karen Jenkins from Englefield in Berkshire ‘incidentally’ founded Aquaforno Ltd having invented the Aquaforno for their daughter’s 13th birthday party who had requested pizzas while having a camp over in a field. The seed was sown and from a very rudimentary prototype the design evolved to what it is today.

The Piccoloforno was launched at the Outdoor Trade Show in Coventry in September. It was then showcased at The Telegraph Outdoor Adventure and Travel Show at the ExCeL Centre, London in February this year. Consumers voted for their favourite products online and in person at the show.
Judges, including specialist outdoor retailers and journalists, voted for the winners of each of ten categories which were announced at the OIA’s trade conference gala dinner in Harrogate. The Piccoloforno beat some of the industries’ most famous brands to be honoured with Best Camping Equipment product
