The Tsavo (pronounced T-Saarvo) is our Albion’s new safari style tent designed for the fixed tented accomodation market. The roof extends beyond the main tent and is sculpted to reduce any likelihood of flapping fabric in high winds.
This is a true tent design with 4 main poles, a ridge pole and tensioned side poles. The whole structure has been designed to be extremely strong and weatherproof. The roof is a marquee grade PVC with fire retardant finish to meet all safety requirements. The inner tent is a complete inner tent with its own roof, to keep the tent cooler in the heat and warmer in the cool weather. Manufactured in a strong marquee grade polyester cotton canvas with fire retardant, water repellent and rot resistant coatings.
Windows can be placed where you wish and sized as you wish. The model featured has opening side and rear windows for ventilation, and fixed large front windows. The super clear window PVC is also fire retardant for safety.
All walls are separate for ease of construction and to give even greater flexibility in use.
Poles are all marquee grade timber with 3 coat oil finish for durability, and to enhance the beauty of the wood.
All the poles are fixed to the deck with galvanised steel stanchions and bolts to secure the poles and keep them clear of the ground therefore reducing any likelihood of rot. The poles being secured to the deck means they can’t be knocked out of place.
Heavy duty ratchet strap guys and super strong low impact ground anchors keep the entire tent rigid and secure from extremes of weather.
The interior can be laid out in a variety of ways with bedrooms, wood burning stoves, dining area and kitchen. You can also have coloured liners for that extra touch of luxury, insulating liners and even curtains for the windows.
