An igloo built in the West Midlands by resourceful 29-year-old Ben Crutch will be available for one of the most unique glamping experiences ever seen in the UK – for however long it lasts!
With room for four, a stay in the spacious snow house – which made headlines this week when built – will include ‘four seasons’ sleeping bags, mulled wine and a takeaway meal. A blind auction will take place for each night, until the igloo melts and while it’s still habitable. The highest bidder will win the night’s stay, and all proceeds will go to homelessness charity Shelter.

Martin Smith, the founder of Campsites.co.uk, said, “We specialise in camping and glamping experiences around the UK, and, when we saw Ben’s incredible igloo, we knew there was an opportunity here to both create something special and, hopefully, raise a bit of money for a great cause, too.
“We’ve no idea how many nights the igloo will still be habitable – it’s rare we get snow in the UK, after all! – but, we’ll be sure that it’s safe to stay in each night.”
Campsites.co.uk has been a pioneer in campsite marketing since launching its first directory website as Campsites UK back in 2003. Having relaunched as Campsites.co.uk in 2015, their goal is to become the UK’s number one choice for finding and booking great camping, touring and glamping sites.
