Barnutopia, a luxury glamping site located near the village of Llansilin, Oswestry, has branched out with its new Mountain Adventure Challenge.
The Shropshire glamping site, Barnutopia, has diversified with a glamping package that is not for the faint-hearted. The 5-night Mountain Adventure Challenge has glampers rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, wild camping (one night) and summiting a Welsh peak.
Designed with adults and teens sixteen years or older in mind, there is also an option for non-participating companions. All guests stay in a fully furnished luxury yurt or cabin with breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Mountain Challenge participants spend a full day rock climbing and abseiling, another receiving mountain biking instruction and guided ride, and two days mountain walking, overnight wild camping and summiting a Welsh peak. Jules Van-Dyk, owner and manager of Five Star Bar Company, booked for himself and two employees,
“What an amazing team building activity. We need to get out and do more exciting things and this is happening at just the right time. We are really looking forward to participating in the Mountain Adventure Challenge.”
Barnutopia owners Katrina and Steve Boydon devised the package drawing on Steve’s background as an internationally qualified IFMGA high Alpine and British mountain guide. A keen mountain biker, Steve leads and supervises the mountain activities with other professional instructors and mountain leaders. He said,
“It is going to be fantastic. The perfect opportunity to get a taste of the mountains without having to buy all the kit and commit yourself to one discipline.”
