Koto, in collaboration with Habitat First Group, has announced the launch of its first collection of luxury floating homes at Silverlake – a design-led holiday estate in the heart of Dorset.
Set amidst sparkling freshwater lakes, protected heathland, and winding forest trails, Silverlake is a rare setting where nature and architecture exist in balance.
With the debut of Koto’s pioneering houseboats, a limited number of private moorings is now available, presenting a unique opportunity for those drawn to water, wellness and architectural design.
Silverlake is already home to a vibrant community and a curated range of amenities, including tennis courts, a multi-use games area, and forest playgrounds. A new lido with restaurant and treatment rooms is due to open in 2026 on the same lake as the houseboats, further enhancing the lifestyle offering.
The Koto houseboat collection features two distinct models: Uku, a one-bedroom retreat ideal for short stays or hospitality, and Shio, a refined two-bedroom residence designed for longer-term living.
Each houseboat is appointed with bespoke kitchen and bathroom spaces, expansive glazing, and skylights. Inside, the interiors are calm and considered, inviting light and water views to flow freely through the space.
Outside, generous, part-sheltered decking blurs the boundaries between architecture and landscape. These sustainable floating homes are crafted to dwell lightly, designed for those seeking a unique way of living in quiet harmony with the natural world.
While this debut collection launches at Silverlake, Koto floating homes are also available for placement at waterfront locations around the world.
