What inspired you to start a business for the glamping and camping industry? How long have you been trading?
It was my business partner who started importing safari tents from Pakistan. He did this alongside the scouting tents he imported from there and saw a chance called glamping coming up. This was back in 2009. Later, in 2014, Erik and I met and he asked me to start a company in glamping and do it differently. From that moment we’ve decided to develop our own structures and start with a more durable concept which had to last for at least 10 years. That’s where Outstanding was founded.
What type of structures do you create?
Every year we’ve introduced a new model, in the mean time we extended our service level extremely. When we started we barely did interiors and currently we mainly do turn-key projects with a high level of comfort.
What are the main advantages of using tented structures for hospitality, in your opinion?
It’s the inside is outside feeling. Being one with nature and hearing the birds from your bed. Everyone lives in an insulated house, so it makes the holiday feeling completely different.
What makes them stand out from your competitors/other manufacturers?
We stand for the fact that we are the best company in turn-key tent concepts in Europe. We strive for a lifespan of at least 10 years and to the best value for money.
How much maintenance do your products require? Do you offer any follow-up services?
There is not much maintenance involved. It is just regular cleaning, and after the season the cushions and mattresses need to be taken out to avoid mould.
What is the average wait time from workshop to site?
A tent consists of many parts and we try to deliver most of these parts out of our stock. Therefore we have a delivery time of about 10 weeks!
Can your products be assembled on-site or do they require transportation?
Our products are mainly assembled on site and are shipped with regular transportation.
What geographical markets do you cover?
We mainly focus on Europe, America and Israel, although we have shipped tents to 53 countries so far. We’ve done projects from Iran to Canada to Thailand and many other great destinations.
Would you offer discounts on larger purchases for bigger sites?
We do offer volume discounts in case a larger project comes up. Efficiency we get in different parts of the process should be returned to costumers with larger projects.
How long is the lifespan of your products? Do you offer any warranties?
As mentioned earlier, we strive to a lifespan of 10 years. The ideal and most efficient solution would be a refurbish after around 7 years. Then we could replace the canvas and go for another 7 years. We offer a 2 year full warranty.
