Leyland Leisure Sales is a relatively small Trailer company specialising in the sales and manufacture of trailers and towing related products. Over the the past few years the company has found itself building more and more unusual projects for business and private individuals chasing the alternative lifestyle.
Lyland are steel fabricators and mostly specialise in building trailers and rolling chassis for both on and off road applications. The company builds rolling chassis for a high-end teardrop caravan company who build their caravans as a traditional camping caravan and mobile food outlets. They have also built some chassis for other glamping-related projects, such as shepherd huts and tiny houses as well as absolute one-off creations.
Leyland will also carry out remedial work on UK-built vintage caravans as well as upgrades to American-built Airstream caravans, converting them to UK & EU compliant specifications. Recently, they have built a custom-designed 5.5 metre long by 2.55 metre wide tilt bed transporter trailer for the White Peak shepherd hut company to carry their beautifully built shepherd huts for delivery to their customers.
“We offer a wide range of bespoke fabrication work both trailer and non trailer related projects. We are a small team and enjoy getting creative with metal work and love working on unusual projects rather than the normal every day trailers that fill our days and workshop. What we make isn’t necessarily pretty but it will be incredibly strong and durable and make an excellent foundation for any glamping project, large or small,” says Leyland’s Ben Smale.
