Organisers of the Glamping Show UK and the Glamping Show US have confirmed that preparations for the shows are progressing with the full expectation that they will take place. The Glamping Show UK is due to take place at NAEC, Stoneleigh 17-19 September 2020, and the US show will take place at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds in Aurora, Colorado, October 13-14 2020.
Following news this morning’s regarding outdoor events, confidence is high amongst event organisers and venues that restrictions will be relaxed and that mass gathering and events will resume before the September date. Strict social distancing and cleansing regimes will be put in place, but this will allow these vital business forums to resume and the rural tourism industry to plan for the future.
“We have been talking to the venue, other organisers and the exhibition industries association and we are sure that, subject to Government approval, we can run a successful event which remains the only exhibition of its kind dedicated to the glamping sector” says Karen Cooke, MD of The Glamping Show organisers, Swan Events.
Preparations include wider specific arrival times and downloadable tickets to limit queuing at the entrance, wider gangways, open spaces, outdoor catering, bookable car parking spaces, deep clean regimes and provision of hand sanitisers. Health &Safety officers will also be present throughout the show to assist with social distancing and respond to any issues.
Karen Cooke adds “The show will have to look very different, but safety is the key concern and the correct protocols will have to be put in place. The important thing is, that we can get together again and have the chance to see and evaluate the latest products and services and reinforce the business relationships and friendships that have be so difficult during lockdown.”
