Walden has unveiled the Unique Accommodations Buying Guide: North America Edition, billed as a comprehensive resource designed to support outdoor hospitality operators, developers, and landowners in navigating one of the industry’s fastest-growing categories.

The guide consolidates more than 750 products from 137 manufacturers, ranging from domes and yurts to pods, wagons, treehouses, container homes, and converted RVs.

For the first time, buyers can compare side-by-side data on pricing, materials, warranties, and manufacturer contacts in a single reference point.

“This new guide arrives at a pivotal moment,” the release stated. “From Walden’s research, 32% of operators report their largest barrier to adding accommodations is uncertainty about which manufacturer best fits their needs.

“By organizing and contextualizing a fragmented market, the Unique Accommodations Guide offers operators clarity and confidence before they commit to investments that often run into the tens of thousands of dollars.”

Walden founder and principal Whitney Scott emphasized the importance of market transparency:
“The outdoor accommodations market has been slowed for too long by hidden details and fragmented information. Transparency isn’t just a value, it’s a catalyst.

“By bringing clarity to what exists and aligning how products are presented, we accelerate the buying channel. This is about giving both buyers and manufacturers the shared language and insight they need to move faster, smarter, and with confidence.”

Beyond product comparisons, the guide also features a detailed market report examining manufacturing supply chains, operator motivations, and consumer demand.

Industry voices such as Todd Wynne Parry, a leading figure in outdoor hospitality, and John Delaloye, an expert in canvas manufacturing, contribute insights on current and future trends.

Walden co-founder Josh Smibert added: “We’ve seen how costly and time-consuming it can be for operators to find, compare, and evaluate accommodation products. This guide shortens that path.

“It gives decision-makers the context and confidence they need to invest wisely, and helps manufacturers showcase their products in a way that builds trust and speeds adoption.”

The Unique Accommodations Guide marks the first release in Walden’s new Buying Guide series. Upcoming editions dedicated to cabins and tents are expected soon, followed by a full North America compilation. Global editions are also currently in development.
