The Sizes
With three sizes available, the pod one at 3.6m x 3.6m. the pod two at 4.5m x 3.6m, and the pod three measures 5.4m x 3.6m, Intupod also offer a bespoke solution and are happy to discuss your requirements to come up with a custom solution.
The Pods
The domes of the pods are constructed using a poly-composite material and the floor is made with 4×2 timber, 18mm marine plywood with rockwool insulation between the floor joists. The poly based materials used to construct the pod provide a lightweight and high strength structural form with great durability and a long lifespan. The walls and ceilings of the pod are made using a polyurethane material with an r Value (a measure of resistance to heat flow through a given thickness of material) of 0.022 WmK, meaning that even in the coldest of nights, the pod will lose very little heat. The materials used in the construction of the pods means that they require very little maintenance, the only thing you’ll have to worry about is keeping the interior clean.
Included as standard in each of the pods are two external and one internal LED lights, four double power sockets located in floor, a 1600 x 2000 sliding door, and a carbon monoxide and fire alarm. The entrance to the pod is cladded with hardwood on the exterior and there are a number of floor finishes to choose from.
