Ready to Burn legislation came into force in England on 1 May 2021. Wood sold in volumes of up to 2m³ will need to be Ready to Burn certified as having a moisture content of less than 20%.
Using fuels that are approved and labelled as Ready to Burn also means it’s easy to comply with Air Quality Regulations that outlaw the sale of wet wood and housecoal, which are the most polluting fuels.
